{Nemo x Emily} - Seaside

[Author's Note: This oneshot is based off the roleplays between Miss-Goodness and I. I only own one character - Castiel/Nemo. Emily belongs to Miss-Goodness. With that said, enjoy my fluff.]

The smell of salt water filled the air as the chilling water surrounded Castiel's bare, pale ankles. A soft breeze made its way through the entangled deep orange locks on top of his head as the sunset arrived, slowly edging towards the surface of the sea.
Castiel stood and stared at the scene before him: A mixture of colours. Shades of pink, red, orange, purple and blue all spreading and blending like a wash of water-colours bleeding into one another as the sea gently paced back and forth. The sun slowly sinking down, burning bright and yellow.

It reminded him of Emily.

The way the sun's glittering rays shone down on the clear water below reminded him of the way it would shine in her own hair, which was a brilliant shade of Royal Yellow.
In fact, the entire atmosphere reminded him of Emily. Her calming nature, her serene smile, the way her voice soothed his soul like the refreshing, cold feel of the water that now raised above his ankles, slowly nearing the top of his shins. He didn't mind, as his trousers were rolled up just above his knees.

He found it odd. One would think all the time he'd spent in that fish form, running away from underwater predators and avoiding fishermans' hooks, that he would never dream of even dipping so much as a toe in the water again. Hell, he was surprised at himself for such not being the case. Perhaps it was because of the fact it brought about thoughts of one he loved so dearly, that he no longer feared or avoided the water.

"Nemo," a famaliar voice called out, "What are you doing?" Castiel knew the voice all too well. It was Emily, calling him by his affectionate nick-name. He turned his head to face her to see that she was slowly approaching him, barefoot, holding her shoes in her left hand. The other hand lifted the skirt of her dress so as to avoid it getting wet.

He shrugged, "Just thinking."
"Oh?" Emily inquired, "Thinking of what?" She gave him a curious smile. Castiel shrugged his shoulders, gaining a smile of his own. He stepped closer to her, his feet still in the water.
"You."
"Me?"
"Yeah," he leaned in and kissed her temple, "You." Emily's cheeks reddened slightly before she gave out a small giggle. Her green eyes stared into his own sky blue orbs. Castiel's smile widened with a hint of mischief to it.

Suddenly he ran further down the beach, his feet causing small splashes in the water as he did. Emily raised her brow in confusion, but then smirked and tossed her shoes aside on to the sand. She lifted her skirts with both hands and persued her red-haired fiancee.
The faint sound of splashing and laughter echoed through the beach as the couple chased one another. As Emily neared him, Castiel grinned and flicked his leg forward, springing a few droplets of water on to her. She let out a shriek before laughing and lunging forward. She dived forward, grabbing either of Castiel's arms and capturing him in a half-embrace, half-tackle.

Both fell into the water, which erupted into an explosion of water droplets, drenching the young couple. The rust-coloured hair atop of his head now dripped the small beads of transparent liquid onto the edge of his nose, and Emily's long blonde hair stuck flat to her forehead. He held her close and let her settle her cheek upon his now drenched shoulder as they watched what remained of the sun finally sink below the surface of the water.

Now the sky was a beautiful dark tone of blue, and the night breeze softly flew by. A small shiver came from Emily, which gave Castiel the sign that it was now time to return. He stood and helped his fiancee to her feet, picked up both pairs of their shoes, and headed home with her.

Emily's eyes once more gazed up to the beautiful blue sky above, a small, serene smile crossed her lips. She sighed happily.

"We should visit the seaside more often, Nemo."

"Yeah," he brought her closer to him and kissed her softly on the lips, "We should."
Pure fluff warning! X3
